Bedni Bugyal ( Bedni Top ) Trek

BEDNI BUGYAL (BEDNI TOP) TREK                             Photo Gallery

Bedni Bugyal (High altitude meadow) is one of the finest meadows in India. This has got to be one of the most romantic spots in the Himalayas - acres and acres of meadow scooped out of lush mountain scape, a steep ridge arching up into the dusk, and above it, the enormous western flank of Trishul. One of the larger Bugyals (meadow) in Uttaranchal, Bedni is also a major way-station on the Nanda Raj Jat Yatra, a ritual procession held every 12 years

The same route also takes one to the famous lake, Roopkund. Bedni Bugyal is a charming green meadow adorned with flowers in a spell binding varieties, in full bloom. There is a small lake situated in the midst of the meadow. Situated nearby is a small temple where the devotees pay there obeisance, during their halt at Bedni Bugyal. Bedni offers magnificent view of snow capped peaks namely Trishul (7120m), Nandakhunthi (6310m), Chaukhamba (7138m), Neelkantha (6596m), Mrigthuni range (6855m) etc.
