Around du Mont Blanc is undoubtedly the most famous treks in the Alps. It passes through three countries – Italy, France and Switzerland and offers magnificent views of the Mont Blanc. For the sake of convenience, Yuvashakti has selected the more beautiful half of the trek route – the Eastern part of the Mont Blanc circuit.

    On arrival at Geneva, you will be received by Yuvashakti’s Group Leader and then the group will transfer to Chamonix. On checking in at Chamonix, there would be a short introduction and briefing session and the evening would be free to explore the many shops and restaurants in Chamonix at your leisure.

    Chamonix to Les Contamines. 16km After a short transfer by bus and a way up by cable car we will hike col du Tricot , then down to the town of les Contamines to finish by an other walk up to the Balme pasture.

    Les Contamines to La Ville des Glaciers. 20km We will hike a long ascent to the Col de la Bonhomme (2329m). We will maybe find last winter snow nearby Col des Fours (2665m) the highest pas of the Tour du Mont Blanc with a different view of the Mt Blanc, then down to the farmer village of la Ville des Glacier to taste the local cheese…

    La Ville des Glaciers to Elena. 10km Hiking up to Col de la Seigne (2516m) with a great view of Mont Blanc during we cross the French border into Italy. The Mont Blanc waiting for us at the top. We will descend slightly to RifugioElisabetta (2195m) .Amaizing panorama and night in front of glacier, valVeny . Transfer by bus to Courmayeur and Val Ferret.

    A climb to the Grand Col Ferret (2535m) where we cross an other border, Italia into Switzerland. Marmots, cows we are in Switzerland ! Nice walk down through a pastoral land to La Fouly then a bus transfer to Champex. And a little walk up to a very scenic river trail for a night in forest side.

    We may have 2 possibilities of climb depending of weather and energy. The 2 acces to Trient are great. One with Martigny and the Rhone valley view, the other with the Trient glacier view.

    Trient to Chamonix. 15km From this little town with a big church we hike up the hill to col de Balme (2191m) and retrieve back to Chamonix

Fees Include

    The fees of Rs 1,20,000/- includes Geneva – Chamonix – Geneva airport transfers, accommodation at hotels and mountain huts for seven nights, breakfast, packed lunch and dinner. It also includes the local train, cable car and taxi charges wherever required. The fees however do not include anything not specified in the “fees includes” column above.

Important Note

    The program begins and ends in Geneva. Yuvashakti’s group leader will receive and see off the group at Geneva. Accommodation for all the seven nights has been arranged at mountain huts (referred to as ‘Refuges’ in Europe) which are situated at scenic and peaceful locations on the outskirts of Chamonix. Depending on the weather conditions, there is always possibility of a few changes in the above itinerary, which would be binding on all participants. An important meeting of all the participants shall be organized in Pune. Since all the minute details about the trek will be discussed in the meeting, attendance to this meeting shall be compulsory. Confirmation of participation in the “Exploring Alps” trek, can be obtained by submitting an application form, duly filled along with non-refundable amount of Rs 40,000/-.
