Mani Mahesh Trek Overview
Considered as one of the most holy lakes in India, the Mani Mahesh Lake is located at an altitude of 3,950 meters in the Pir Panjal range of the Himachal Pradesh. At the backdrop of this beautiful lake is the Mani Mahesh Kailash towering at 5,653 mtrs. The Mani Mahesh Lake and peak have acquired immense importance in Hindu mythology and the Mani Mahesh peak is considered as the abode of Lord Shiva since ages. The pristine waters of this lake that emerge from the serpentine glacier of the Mani Mahesh peak, also referred to as the Chamba Kailash, offer an amazing reflection of the peak on a sunny day. All put together, the Mani Mahesh lake trek happens to be an essential part of the list of the must visit places in Himachal Pradesh.

Departure for Delhi by 12629 / 22685 Sampark Kranti Express from Pune Railway Station at 9 am. Overnight train journey.

Arrival Delhi at 1.30pm and transfer to Hotel for a quick fresh up. Proceed to Chamba, overnight bus journey.

Arrival at Chamba in the morning and transfer to Bharmour Base Camp by cabs. The day will be spent by enjoying a short walk through the heritage village of Bharmour in the afternoon and overnight halt at a guest house in Bharmour.

Today, we set for an acclimatization trek to the Bhramani Mata temple. It is believed in the mythology that one must seek blessings at this temple before venturing into the Mani Mahesh lake and peak. We return for the night halt at Bharmour base camp.

Bharmour to Dancho - We travel for 13kms by jeep and reach Hadsar which is the starting point for the Mani Mahesh Lake trek. Upon reaching Hadsar, the trek begins with gentle slopes through dense forests to reach Dancho. Overnight stay at Dancho.

Dancho Activity Day - Today, we spend the entire day in thrilling activities of rappelling and river crossing on the surrounding rocks and boulders. Overnight stay at Dancho.

Dancho to Mani Mahesh Lake and back to Dancho - A steep uphill climb of about 3 Kms is followed by gradual ups and downs which finally takes us to witness the stunning landscapes of the enchanting Mani Mahesh Lake. After spending about an hour we descend back to Dancho for the night halt.

Dancho to Hadsar to Bharmour - We descend further upto Hadsar and return to the Bharmour base camp by cabs for an overnight halt.

Today we leave Bharmour and reach Dalhousie with a stop to admire the breathtaking vistas of Khajjihar and board the bus to Delhi in the evening. Overnight bus journey.

Arrival Delhi at 8 am and proceed to Pune by train no 12780 Goa Express from Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station. Overnight train journey.
