Har Ki Dun Trek - 🏔️

The Har Ki Dun trek, also known as the "Valley of the Gods," is a wonderful, moderate trek in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, which can be completed in approximately 5 days. Located at an altitude of over 8,000 feet, it offers a heavenly experience through Himalayan peak views, dense pine forests, and ancient villages, where the gurgling waters and natural scenery captivate you. 
Har Ki Dun Trek:

  • Duration: 4-5 days
  • Difficulty: Medium

Best time: April to June (for flowers) and October to November (pleasant weather)

  • Starting from Dehradun: This beautiful journey starts from Dehradun with a drive of about 98.7 km to Sankri village.
  • Ancient Villages: During the trek you get a chance to pass through old Garhwali villages like Osla, which have unique culture and architecture.

Trek Preparation:
This is a moderate trek, so physical fitness is crucial. You should do a few days of jogging and breathing exercises beforehand. 

What to take:

  • Trekking shoes and comfortable clothes
  • Warm clothing (jacket, gloves)
  • Waterproof jackets and bags
